Who we are
This policy covers Mezzo Collective ("Mezzo", "we", "us"), a marketing and brand development studio based at 1 Wootton Avenue, Botha's Hill, Durban, 3660, South Africa. It explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
The only personal information you actively submit to us is through our contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the type of enquiry, and your message. Separately, if you accept our cookie banner, Google Analytics collects standard usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) — see "Cookies" below. If you reject or ignore the banner, no analytics runs and we only have standard web server logs.
How we use it
We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you've asked about our services, to follow up about working together. We don't sell, rent, or use your information for advertising.
Where it's stored
Contact form submissions are stored in our database (hosted on Supabase infrastructure) and a copy is forwarded via Formspree to notify our studio inbox by email. Both are third-party processors acting on our behalf; neither uses your information for their own purposes. Because these providers operate infrastructure outside South Africa, your information may be processed on servers abroad — a transfer we consider necessary to run this website and subject to those providers' own security safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, maintain a record of our business communications, and meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which it's deleted.
Cookies
We use one analytics cookie (Google Analytics), set only if you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit — we don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you share with us, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and access controls on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we don't hold any information beyond what's described above.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle your information changes — for example, if we start using analytics or another processor — we'll update this page and, where the change is significant, note it here with a new date.
