Mezzo started inside Lincor Holdings, working across a number of plumbing and building brands.
The work was practical from the beginning. We supported trade shows, developed product information, worked on retail promotions, created catalogues and handled the day-to-day marketing needs of the brands.
Our work was never limited to one part of marketing.
We worked across websites, SEO, social media, retail, content and brand development, which gave us a broad understanding of how a brand works as a whole.
But the experience went further than marketing.
Working within the plumbing and building industry gave us exposure to the full commercial chain.
From manufacturing and product development, through to distribution, retail and the final sale.
That gave us a much better understanding of how businesses actually operate.
How products are developed.
How they move through the market.
How they are sold.
And where marketing fits into each stage.
It also meant learning that the same message does not work everywhere.
What matters to a manufacturer is different to what matters to a distributor.
What matters to a retailer is different to what matters to the person buying the product.
Good marketing has to understand all of it.
As the brands grew, the scope of our work grew with them.
We became more involved in strategy, digital, campaigns, positioning and the broader decisions around how brands went to market.
Over time, we started working with businesses outside of plumbing and building too.
The industries changed, but the thinking carried across.
Every business has a chain. Every brand has different audiences. And every stage needs to be communicated differently.
That is still a big part of how Mezzo works today.
We look beyond the final advert, post or campaign.
We look at the product, the business behind it, the route to market and the people involved along the way.
Today, Mezzo works across strategy, design, digital, content, retail and brand development.
Bringing the different parts together. And building marketing around how the business actually works.
